A Dubai-bound plane received a bomb threat on Tuesday via e-mail at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
The Delhi Police told news agency ANI that, “On June 17 at 9:35 am, an email was received in the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office, IGI Airport with the threat of a bomb inside a Delhi to Dubai flight.”
They further informed that necessary action was taken after receiving the threat and nothing suspicious was found.
Earlier this month, an Air Canada flight enroute to Toronto in Canada from Delhi received a bomb threat via email.
The police then discovered that the mail was sent from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, by a 13-year-old boy. He admitted to the police that he got the idea of sending the email after learning about a bomb call to a Mumbai flight in the media.
